Autoxzx3 Good tires will really help getting off the line quicker.

anarchy0392 Okay before that SVT gets crushed you should take key items either for yourself or to resell for some extra cash. Stuff you should think about grabbing the rear disc brake setup at the VERY LEAST, front disc brakes, SVT center console, and smaller stuff like fuel injectors. Check the buy-sell-trade section to get an idea of what would be worth grabbing.

disciplerocks Boost or high compression. All other answers are void.

That's cool. I unhooked my snorkel from where it is mounted above the radiator and bent it down under the battery and hooked it to the frame. Then I removed the air box resonator (I think that's what it's called) beside the air box and the windshield wiper fluid container so it sounds a little meaner. lol I'm thinking about running something from that little square hole on the air box where the resonator was behind my headlight so it doesn't get as much hot air. Might be a little better for it.

Stevick Thank everyone! But since my piston rings are starting to give out I"m going to get my head bored and get over sized pistons, also with performance cams I'm thinking of putting in new fuel injectors along with a new fuel pump. All together just rebuild my engine. But thanks again everyone!

What's the difference between the stock zx3 airbox/snorkel and the SVT one? I already have the K&N drop in lifetime filter. If there is a big difference in the way it gets air to the throttle body and it is actually getting colder air then I could get the SVT one and keep my filter to drop in it.

J0EC00L For 330.00 bucks you can get the Ford Racing m-3000-zx3a . Its the SVT suspension package for 00-04 focus. Thats what I run now. Also for handling I went with Prothane complete Poly bushing kit. And Eibach big sway bar kit for front and rear. And CFM front frame brace. My Focus handles like a dream now.

I am going with tubular front and rear control arms and rear frame brace next. Then I am uping to a Bilstein B16 Coil Over kit to replace the FR M-3000-ZX3A kit I have now.

If you want more power out of your zetec start with a header and CAI and Tune from Tom. or If you have the money to spend build your motor with Turbo. If you are keeping it Automatic your gonna need a better tranny if you run more than 200HP to the wheels. I just spent 6K on a custom Lentech Auto 4F27E tranny with LSD. But you can get a built Lentech without LSD that will handle over 350HP for 3K.

And yes with a tune you can modify the Shift points and Shift Pressure to make it shift like it has a shift kit. It will snap shift.

Good Luck.
