Brad52693 I removed it and made three small knicks in it large enough to run cables through it and it takes all the cables away and i can just tuck them in when not using them.

TBarBone11 Learn something new every day, never had a clue what that was for.

Do you have to pull the radio to pop it out? I have myFord Touch, feel like it may be too difficult. I feel like minus the plastic piece that would be a good spot for a cell phone or some spare small bills.

Revelations I wish this was switched with the 'Rear Defroster' button on the left side. That way I could pop the black piece off and use the slot as a cell phone holder.

mikesusz i finally found a use for this! i keep one of the plugs/stirrers from Starbucks in there now :)

Pull the radio and then you can reach down behind it and pop it out. There are two tabs on it but I found that the slightest amount of pressure applied to the back side of it pops it right out.

mikesusz ha! i, too, wondered what the heck that thing was.

also, funny observation - when the auto tranny is in Park you can't put a card in or out of that without bending it. i guess if i was at a drive thru or tollbooth or something and the tranny was in Drive, i wouldn't care.
