Yeah I guess that would work too! I just got my adapter in the mail today. Took about 45 minutes total because of the wiring but it came out great! I ended up using a thicker threaded screw when I put that side pannel back instead of hat plug thing.

OhFFS I ended up making one - lopping off the mini USB end of one cable and the female USB off an extension cable and soldering together (red to red, black to black, green to green, white to white, and of course, the shields).

Now I have a 16GB USB stick just above my OBDII port.

Now that you say it, I actually do remember someone mentioning that. They were wondering if they had a 3rd slot in that sync box but im assuming there isn't. Btw the usb cable came in the mail today so now i'm just waiting on the converter!

I found that weird too. You'd think they would do it as a selling feature? I've seen numerous cars with a usb port but none with 2! I was at my dealer yesterday for my 10K maintenance and I mentioned it to the service guy and he wasn't even aware it was there
