They may not apply to your model year depending on when and where it was built, but owners found that the dates described in the TSB for the first one didn't always match what they found on their own cars. Not sure about the accuracy of that info for the fuel pump issue.
Thanks for the heads up Arco-Zakus!

TSB 15-0036 seems to be an update from TSB 14-0215.

FordServiceCA got in touch with me and they're working it out, so thumbs up to Ford on being proactive and thumbs up to Markville Ford Lincoln. They performed TSB 15-0009 (PCM update) and they're waiting on a valve to install next week.

Focus6ix The same thing just happened to me yesterday. I was driving on the highway and switching lanes when suddenly my Focus lost power. I almost got rear-ended and got lots of horns blaring at me, but luckily I was close enough to work to stutter my way there.

I just dropped it off at my Markville Ford dealership in Markham, Ontario and mentioned the TSB 15-0009 and TSB 15-0036, but they said they'd have to run their own tests.

I'm at just below 48,000km and my warranty is up on Feb. 11, 2016 so I hope this issue gets resolved.

n8 dawg I've had this happen twice now on my 2012, both times on the interstate running around 70mph. I made an appointment for my local dealer to check it tomorrow morning but the guy said he has never heard of this happening. I guess I'll see what happens but seeing how no codes are thrown an no CEL and with as rare as it happens (once around 27k miles, and again around 33k miles) I don't think they will be able to duplicate the issue. Seeing quite a few people post different solutions also has me wondering whats really going on and if each one actually fixed the problem.

I will add, the first time it occurred I could push the clutch in and the RPM's revved up normally, this past time they revved up very slowly. Both times I stuck it in N, turned the car off and back on and power was restored.

Armenian22 Had same thing a few months ago on my 5 speed. PCM flash did the trick. Was covered under emissions warranty.

Have you sought out a second opinion since your dealer visit, and has this occurred again? Please let me know, along with your updated mileage, and I can check out some options.

Gi_Jo_Nathan That sucks.

Good news is mine has only done it twice in over 86k miles.
Both times it didn't come back right away after turning it off and back on.

This is the problem I have. I would think if the ECU decides to go into some sort of limp mode, there should be some sort of "Note" in the form of a historic code.
