Mile30 I have a prototype thermostat housing I need to get thrown on there to do some racing/testing for Massive and this damn situation has thrown a giant roadblock in our way!!!

Kinda hard to worry about that part when I can't safely drive the car anywhere! Now, the gent that donated the thermostat is getting peeved that there's no feedback yet... I got the piece juuuuuust before Ford Nat's in June and didn't have time then to install it.

Yeah... TOTALLY new territory for me! Professionally, too. That's the bit that stings.

Well, I may be totally boned already though. The wheel is steering itself in a twitching fashion. HARD. to the right, so it starts bugging right when I'd lift off throttle or coast. sitting still? Nada.

I gotta find the video...

Mile30 I might also add that sandwich plate and oil cooler for the engine oil. I finally get to fill up the formerly useless open areas of the Rieger fascia!

Mile30 Oh, it's smashed for sure. The power steering may have sustained some damage due to a failed v-band clamp directly over the heat shield.

I snagged a huge heat shield off a recalled (trash) gas tank to modify for when I get the replacement clamp & rack. I am going to be modifying the power steering lines as well to deal with the new position the cheapo-s-curved home betwixt the intercooler. It doesn't seem to like living in the shadows after being out front since day 1. I'm also debating whether or not to get a B-S-T rack, new, or if I should also pick up a new reservoir to avoid metal shavings in the new system. The fluid is super clean as it was only flushed this spring, but I did see a flake or two that made me question it.

I would be worried if you didn't beat on that car. I never saw the point to having a perfect show car you can't smash around in, gotta have some character.

Thank you! It certainly does photograph well. If we were standing next to it you may sing a slightly different tune, though. I beat this thang up for fun, so the rushing through winter and spring are more evident the closer you look!

Just keeps me thinking about moving forward again.
