My hs foreign language requirement was Latin, so I prefer the hard sound. Webster's Dictionary gives its nod to both pronunciations:

|Joeywhat||Pronouncing it with a hard C sounds absurd IMO. Not only does it sound weird, but it's not proper English. It's like pronouncing "Focus" as "foh-sus".|
