Oh, yeah, sure... but endless hours of discussion over 1/32nd of an inch of tire tuck or a quarter of a degree of camber? Not a bit. And why not a thread on Latin? Figure out what the Latin motto in my sig tag means for the key to understanding EVERYTHING on this forum.

bringler26 You know that there is a thread several down from this on the same subject right?

EDIT: Merging the two threads.

my_beautious_ZX3 good catch - and props for not falling asleep in math class!

My hs foreign language requirement was Latin, so I prefer the hard sound. Webster's Dictionary gives its nod to both pronunciations:

calebstubstad i've been trying to figure it out the last month or so, i think the hard c sounds weird lol. but I also couldn't find a better alternative, til this.

bile0026 I think you meant soft c? Hard C makes the K sound.
04-04-2013 05:22 PM
Joeywhat Pronouncing it with a hard C sounds absurd IMO. Not only does it sound weird, but it's not proper English. It's like pronouncing "Focus" as "foh-sus".

bile0026 I think I'll stick with fokai since that's how everyone says it. Just seems like it would sound snooty to say fosci and then have to explain it to everyone lol
