VRdash4 looks like you need some powder coating polishing or ceramic coating done.

gurkpimpin Like everyone else said and it looks like it has a fresh coolant in it which means that the person took care of it the silver writing on the cover says replaced at 62xxx which is good...

bile0026 Other than the missing heat shield everything else looks okay as much as you can tell from just a picture...

wants2b rs yeah it might be what that writing is about (junker identifying engine), my focus is an 03 with 71k miles, it is a manual and it drives like a freaking dream

mikebontoft good engine, probably a junkyard replacement though. it has an automatic transmission.

Tundrafoci Well first off you have a zetec which is good! It's missing the heat shield for the header, and the grounding point on the engine hoist looks to be in need of some sanding but its hard to tell from the picture. Also the battery cover is missing but not a big issue at all. Can't really read what the silver writing on the timing belt cover says either (hopefully it was when it was replaced but then again it seems odd to do that at only 70000 miles) Nothing as far as I can tell looks off but then again as you said very limited information from only a picture. You'd have to go see it in person and examine it yourself.

Please look at engine pic and help!!

I am interested in buying a 2002 Silver Ford Focus SE Base Model . It has 71,493 miles. I haven't test driven it yet but it looks great on the outside. Im only worried about the engine. Please look at the attached pic and give you opinion on the quality. I understand details will be limited with just a picture to look at, but anything will help...your experiences with this year and mileage.. thanks!
