So the dealer quoted me $800 to replace both control arms.
Went down the street and got the one control arm for $100.
Just a quick question - are the bolts one-time use? Also, does the 2007 use a T50 Torx bolt too?
edit: Also which is the "inboard bracket nut" vs "outboard?"

|Neptune15||I'm 95% sure this is the cause. I already replaced the endlinks (it fixed a bit of noise). When I pull at the balljoints, strut etc there's no movement, except for that one part of the LCA. It makes the same exact noise when I'm pulling as I do driving over bumps.|

|macdiesel||Little play might be alright. It is a rubber bushing. Is the bushing ripped or damaged? Gus it doesn't really matter since your bringing the car in for service.|

Various diagnoses avail. for a "popping" noise, from ball joints to sway bar links depending on when it happens.
I'm going to move this over to "Wheels, Tires, Brakes & Suspension" area for more comments....

|don627||I had the same problem and you are exactly right of the cause. Replace the entire LCA which is easy and you are golden! While your at it do the other side too. It isn't that expensive and it is easy to do. As a bonus you get all new bushings. You may need an alignment afterward.|

Front LCA bushing
I've been hearing a popping noise lately and think it's the bushing on the rear of the front lower control arm. When I grab the arm there is a little bit of play in this area.
I've looked around and can only find people saying you need to take the entire arm out and need a machine to press the bushing out to replace it. Is this true, if I only want to replace this single bushing (car only has 70kms on it)? Are there any shortcuts to this job?
