anarchy0392 I had a plug that some how got the ceramic cracked and it was misfiring. I was only suggesting it as a possibility,

whynotthinkwhynot The spark plugs are probably fine. 5/8 fits those spark plugs, and most cars. Only lawn mowers use the big one- 13/16 IIRC. Get a spark plug socket. If you use a regular socket on a spark plug you run the risk of busting it.

Spark plugs don't cause intermittent problems, although plugs that aren't properly gapped can cause issues- funny idle, etc.

You might just have to wait until something goes bad enough for you to be able to diagnose it. It's hard for me to say since I'm not there to listen to it.

whimsicalpouch2 my spark plugs are double platinum so shouldn't they last 2 ish years at least? i'll check out my plugs soon, i'll check this out tomorrow, see whats happening with it all. and i'll report back,
do you know what size the socket is for spark plugs? i plan on buying a spark plug socket since i previously used my dads back home, too far to go to.

whynotthinkwhynot It's intermittent and affects all gears. That sounds more engine related to me. Have you checked the coil plug-in connector to see if those wires are loose?

anarchy0392 I dont know what the code is but if you have a coil pack that is bad enough to cause power problems you should get a code if you get it scanned. If its been that long since your plugs have been changed it could just be that.

whimsicalpouch2 hmm, my spark plugs are coming up on 2 years old so i might be needing a change on them soonish, the coil pack and wires i installed last winter so i don't think they would go bad already. how would i check if they are bad or not? the coil pack that is, spark plugs are easy to check

i don't understand how it just goes back to normal after i restart the engine

anarchy0392 Idk if you checked it yet but coil pack maybe? Could be a bad spark plug also.

stuttering engine or trans?

so today it happened again, it seems that it happenes everytime or every other time i drive my car.
i start accelerating and it goes womp womp womp womp womp slowly getting faster and faster. i'll have to restart my car just to get rid of the problem everytime. once it starts up i can't get rid of it, it happens is pretty much every gear.
