roswelltop Regarding removing the air vents closest to the door, go through the ST section and there is a thread in there by a member who swapped out the vents on his ST with an MK3 owner.

focuspower69 Dude this is awesome I have been trying to figure this out for a week. Quick question though. Can I acceso the air vents and controls that are there? Also have you seen any way of removing the vents closet to the door?

Deftmetal Yes, it kinda pivots up. The mk3 interior trim thread has links to the how to's

14_GT Sorry for reviving an old thread, but at least I used the search function! Anyway, after removing the two Hex Bolts, does the console cover just pop-off?

Focussed2012 Update:
Figured it out. Here's the links to the images for removing the hex bolts to get behind the head unit.

2 Hex Bolts holding the front console cover on (hiding behind a small plastic snap-off cover):

2 Hex Bolts holding the head unit in place:

And the wiring on the back of the head unit:

Hope that helps someone searching in the future. I'll post more as I figure stuff out.

2012 Focus Dash / Console Removal?

Anyone seen a DIY thread on getting to the head unit (stereo) on a 2012 model? I'm not looking forward to hunting for screws to get the head unit taken apart to get behind it. Searched the whole site and haven't seen anything yet.

Thanks in advance!
