r1ch999999 Boston, where I was, has a policy like that. I will be filing a claim later. The wheel is ok, at least it appears so. The chunk that was out of it is barely noticeable now, so I'm impressed they did a good job. They also didn't charge me as much as advertised, which is good.

My dealer (Michigan) offered me a similar offer (which I took) - They called it the "Pot Hole Protection Plan" - It covers all damage to the tires and wheels from well...potholes.

gsxrboy In Ontario, Canada if your tire is destroyed due to a pothole, you can request to have your tire replaced by the government. You obviously have to prove somehow that the tire was destroyed due to a pothole, and then submit the receipt to have it paid back.

Check your area to see if such a legislation exists.

he can have one tired shaved to the correct tread depth.



however, i recommend OP contacts the city since they are liable for the damage. if not, have a lawyer contact them and they'll settle.

It's a horrible practice to replace one tire when it blows if the other tires have more than 5k miles on them. Running on uneven wore tires is a terrible idea.
