blackfx4x4 I only commute about 7 miles to work. Depending on what time of day I leave, it takes about 10-20 minutes. However, I spend my day in a big rig dealing with the rest of the retards on the road. Most of the time I'm down by Indy, and I've hit some real good traffic jams there. Think it took 2 hours one night to go the 2.5 or so miles north on I-69 between 96th st and 116th.

Detroit has been a pain too, though my dad is usually the one who deals with that run. I'm sure he's in a fantastic mood today.

j14woods Rush hour traffic blows. I work at Ford in Dearborn and live in St Clair Shores, I try and leave a few minutes early if I can, a 5 minute difference in leaving just screws my drive home down 94.

Instead I have to come in at 8, take two fifteen minute breaks plus a 50 minute lunch and then leave at 4:50 so that I'm home by 6 if I'm lucky.

I get paid the same amount because salary so....why can't I decide my own schedule? I don't want to sit in your shitty break room and burn up over an hour a day, let me take the minimum breaks required by law, get my work done and hours that you are paying me for complete and hten go home and get on with my life.

I could see the schedule thing more if I was interacting with customers etc then of course I have to be here when they are in the office etc. but all I do is cad, and play with prototypes, if I'm getting the same amount of work done who cares when I do it.

Yeah, I was probably going to follow Chalupas smell test. But, realistically, once a year seems reasonable. It was 13 bucks on amazon, may as well do it right.

that is insane.

I have 30 min commute and in college I worked across the street at jets pizza, I could literally walk there except I delivered lol.

So, I spend 250 hours a year commuting, which is about 10.5 days. Damn.

Aku Home wiring looks good Brad,

I too did a lot of wiring this weekend.

Sat was install the radio in my dads mustang which required wiring the radio itself, plus a mic for the blutooth, a GPS antenna, and a rear view camera.

Yesterday, then I pulled out the old newsouth gauges in the R and put in the fancy pants new Autometer Elites..

klodkrawler05 Man.... talking of commutes got me thinking and I just calculated out hard numbers, I drive 1 hour 10 minutes ish each way to work heaven forbid there's no trash pickup, school bus's or semis en route.

my first job was a 15 minute commute, if I went back to that I'd literally have an extra 21.5 days a year where I'm not just sitting in a car.
