Haha, I figured I would break something but went for it anyways. When I searched for the clips I found tons of threads on broken clips but nobody posted replacement part numbers. I couldn't find it. Dealer couldn't find it in the catalogue, just happened to find a similar clip that works.

Steve at tasca came through, but like I said it won't be here until Tuesday.

She needs a bath bad, but is mechanically solid. Yesterday I did new plugs and a fuel filter. I broke a clip to the filter so I couldn't drive it. Today I ordered a clip that won't be here until Tuesday but ran down to the dealer to see what they had. They happened to have 1 clip that clicked right in...I was so happy! Also, they declined my offer of 2 foci for their RS but they let me sit in it at least lol.

Ordering a new steering rack boot and then I can just enjoy it for a while. And the mk3 gets to stay safely tucked away.

Jburks So I was able to get my COBB exhaust hangers installed today. Turns out the twist in one is much harder to get out and put back in than I originally anticipated. I was a little surprised at just how weak the stock hangers were compared to the COBB. Definitely a worthwhile upgraded for people with aftermarket exhausts.

I've never gone that big, but I had a competition system with 3 10's in a '92 Mustang that was exceptional. Phoenix Gold high current amps (2x22 watt rated, made more like 1000 at 1ohm), 20 band PG EQ, line drivers, all kinds of maniacal stuff for an 18 year old to have. I loved it. Various other setups, single 12w0, dual 10w1s, single shallow 10 in a single cab truck. I don't think I've ever driven a car for more than a short period without some sort of sound upgrade... until 4 years in this Focus. Guess the MFT wasn't a bad purchase after all.

As far as the spare and plans, I am going to keep the carpet at the rubber liner on top of the setup full time. Just throw the spare in there with the stock tooltray in the middle.Very little trunk space lost, and this way nothing will get beat up like exposed amps and subs. At shows, I can pull the carpet, mat, and spare out, and show off my handiwork.

Knock on wood, I'm at 81k miles, and never had a flat. Maybe it won't happen in the future.

Needs more layers to stiffen it up, but it didn't fall apart and came out without major fuss.

Next installation of work: More layers! Then MDF top plate, then a riser box on the MDF plate for the subs to reach mounting depth, then make pretty and reinstall the whole thing.
