2007 fordfocus Thanks for all the help guys I was looking at the ebay crap lol but ill spend a little extra to get a good high quality vinyl but I just thought of another question how does the vinyl hold up in snow/salt.. we get a lot up here lol.

MattDzx3 Even if you can get the plasti-dip to look good, it won't last nearly as long as vinyl wrap will. I looked into vinyl and plasti-dip as alternatives to paint on my last car. From what I read high quality vinyl will last for 5-7 years where as plasti-dip starts to come off after about 1 year. Just my 2 cents.

bluebullet I'd buy the car kit from and not use the cans on big areas

Blue5ive As others have stated a good quality vinyl like 3M and you'll be fine. Just stay away from the eBay crap. Plastidip on the roof does not work out the best or look the best. Would take you 3-4 cans and you have to be careful on how you spray it to get the coats to look even. Nowhere even remotely durable as the vinyl or as easy to remove.

If you lay it on thick enough plastidip is very durable. a couple of heavy coats on my enkeis and it doesnt come off due to scraping

zetecDon Moving this to MK1 Focus. If you bought a good quality clear vinyl you shouldn't have any problems at all.
