JCloud_ZX3_01 Thanks everyone for your replies. I hope my mechanic was smart enough to take the plastic piece out first! If not, he's fired.
I'm pretty sure he did. I'll try the part # on the pic of the box and if it doesn't fit,
I'll try to MAKE it fit. Again thanks. Can't wait to get this over with so I can do some fun mods :)

elsolo I just did this today in my 2003.
It had a plastic screen covering where the filter should go, you do not re-install that screen if using a paper filter. It was a snug fit, but didn't require any mashing of the filter element.

I didn't take a pic during the install, but here is that plastic screen sitting on top of the box that the NAPA brand filter came in.

TerryB Ford put a plastic tray in place of a cabin filter. Make sure that was removed before the mechanic tried to install the new filter.

Cabin air filter for '01 ZX3?

Hello, I'm getting frustrated. All I want is a cabin air filter for my 01 ZX3 and i can't find one! Been to auto part stores, mechanic AND dealer and the part # is the same as the one my mechanic said was too "fat" to fit in the spot for it.

All kinds of debris gets into the cabin thru the vents and makes keeping dash (and my lungs) clean impossible :-/. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.
