Ford 2L Ecoboost engine

Ford Motors has announced intends to start production of a 2-liter, four-cylinder motor at its facility in Brook Park, Ohio. That size Ford engine was formerly only produced in Valencia, Spain, according to the Associated Press. The move will produce up to 750 jobs in Ohio, according to an unnamed representative of the car maker. You can look atFord Motors 2.0L Eco-boost Engine to read more about the article.

Please do move the production of the 1.6EB as well, then you can stop blaming the UK plant for the North American problems.
FYI, there have been zero issues with the 1.6 EcoBoost that is in many Ford Europe vehicles-Focus, C-Max, Kuga, Mondeo, S-Max & Galaxy.

I was wondering about that. Based on quality control issues, Ford should move 1.6 production to the US. The following is from the oracle, Wikipedia.

The V6 EcoBoost engines are being assembled at Cleveland Engine Plant No. 1in Brook Park, Ohio. The 2.0 L I4 EcoBoost engines will be produced at the Ford Valencia Engine Plant in Spain in 2009. The 1.6 L I4 EcoBoost engines will be made at the Ford Bridgend Engine Plant in the United Kingdom. The future small displacement I3 EcoBoost engine will be produced both at the Ford Cologne Engine Plant in Germany and at Ford Romania.

Hey I can wish If I was going to do that I would probably just get a Fusion and skip the hassle and lost investment of an engine swap
