azdamay Not to pile on, but... the car is now for sale! How convenient is that? So basically he got a shit ton of free advertising to the auto universe. Of course, no one in their right mind would ever pay enough for that car for the guy to recoup his costs on it. I hope.

I can't post the link to Jalopnik because it has the f-word in it and this forum censors it.

Yes, my thoughts exactly. It wasn't a perfect engine at all, but it was the 'soul' of the car, and it was what made the car unique. To some extent, I feel the same way about V8-swapped Z-cars from the 1970s. The whole point was the inline 6, the car was Datsun's version of an early Jaguar E-type. It was a sports car, not a muscle car.

This one is certainly still a cool car, but I'd prefer he'd done it to something else, maybe an old RWD Corolla or something.
