|sbc17||Alright! If it's done and running right by then I will definitely try and go that way so you can see it.|

|Gwizzy||If you fix it time for Woodward, I usually go and hang out around 9 Mile / Woodward. (My firend has a shop down there and brings his Chevelle to show off.) You better come by so I can see my old baby!|

Hey guys. Small/medium update.
This week I started working on the car again! We pulled the head Wednesday/Thursday night. The plan is to disassemble it and clean it out. Then reassemble and bolt it back in. Hopefully that gets rid of the weird rattle like sound from the top end.
My goal is to have the car drivable for he Woodward dream cruise. So I have about 3 weeks to finish it. This seems like a reasonable goal and hopefully after we put it back together the car wants to cooperate and run correctly.
Well, I will keep you guys updated in the coming weeks on how things are going!

Oh no! That totally sucks man! That was a good looking G8 btw.
Haha I think I've come to far to just get rid of it. [emoji3]I haven't worked on it in about a month. I've been way to frustrated and disappointed to work on it. First step is pulling off the head and inspecting the lifters. After that, who knows. I just want to to run right so I an drive it.
Dang man, that's a pretty slippery slope your on. That needs to be fixed! Lol

So the Pontiac G8 GT I replaced that SVT with was totaled by some lady driving a Chevy Silverado 2500 on May 31st... So I'm going to need my focus back once you get all the bugs worked out! lol
** I replaced the G8 with a 09' GMC Acadia SLT2 AWD. I just keep slipping further and further from the old SVT ! ;(

I forgot to update this on Saturday.
So I went and worked a bit Saturday afternoon. I found where one of the plugs went in the car. Probably took me a solid 45min to get it hooked up. It's the 3 wire that goes to the backside of the trans near the shift linkage. It was a huge PITA but it's plugged in.
Then I went and drained the oil. It was darker(probably the assembly lube burning off). I didn't see anything in the oil as far as metal or crap. My next step was to cut open the filter and see what it caught(if anything). There was a decent amount of a flaky black material. I'm pretty sure it isn't metal but I didn't like that it was there. So I put fresh oil in it and started it up for a sec to listen. The tick/knock is still there on cylinder 2+3 intake side. It's def in the head and not the lower end. I have no idea what it is and at that point I was pretty fed up with the situation so I called it a day. [emoji35]
Pretty sure at this point I'm going to take it somewhere and have it looked at. I just want it to be done already.
Oh, and to add to the stress my daily broke on me last week. 1st gear makes a lot of noise. Luckily I've been able to borrow my sisters car. Someone is looking at the sunfire tonight to determine if the trans is junk which means the car is toast. [emoji26]
I've been looking at 2010 fusions as a daily(good MPG, reliable, good looking solid car). I have always liked them, it's just a matter of affording the financing and insurance. [emoji53]
