|RonMaiden||I spent a lot of time at dynos watching people throw on 3" exhaust on their cars and see horsepower drop in the low range and net slower 1/4 mile times. People need to research this stuff instead of just following the gang which happens alot in the enthusiasts world.|

When a shop does good R&D for improved performance, you get people that want something different because they think will perform better, despite the testing and development done.
When I was hotrodding my first BBC, I went through four different cams until I finally listened. Then I got the tiny little cam Alan recommended that wasn't very "high performance" in my mind and went the fastest. Probably should have just taken the advice of the guy that builds BBC race motors and owns a dyno.

|RonMaiden||I dynoed my Eclipse and with a +1 size turbo up from stock I had a 2.5" turbo back setup and I swapped over to a full 3" and saw zero gains til I went up another size turbo and was pushing near 400 at the crank and then the 3" size was actually worth it.|

1. A 3" weighs more.
2. A 3" costs more.
3. The ST's engine will never produce enough power that upping to 3" from 2 1/2" is worth what you give up in weight and cost.
