Finished! Did a basic paint correction as well. that paint was super neglected.
Here's a shot of the roof correction, a line of compound, and the uncorrected side. The whole car felt really rough, almost like 1000 grit sandpaper, but it came out of it with a really nice shine, but it could still use some love on the roof and trunk.
All the body panels were oxidized and had damage ... this was about average around the whole car. This is the trunk before
The major scratches still exist, but the minor scratches were polished out and the oxidation was removed easily.
All the exterior plastic and rubber is super faded, so I'm going to paint everything satin black and do a rubber restoration tomorrow.
Thinking about plastidip'ing the wheels ... but I may hold off until I get the suspension bought and installed.

I'm on the fence about doing H&R race on Eibach shocks or going with the SVT suspension swap. I have a feeling they would be equally capable in handling, but the ability to take speedbumps and having good ride quality are leaning me towards the SVT suspension. The look of the car after the H&R springs along with the ability to throw a swaybar on there later would make it more capable than the SVT suspension ... so I don't know what I'm going to do =P
Other than that, I'd like to get a header to pair up with the stock FSVT exhaust I picked up (it was free, but that 2.5" collector to a 2.25" exhaust bothers me ... perhaps a cutout), cams, intake manifold, throttle body, intake, and a tune. I think it'll be a decent performing car with these mods ... then upgrade the auto trans to a lentech and throw a turbocharger in there with a built block and ported head, but that's a ways off.
For the exterior, I'm on the lookout for an SVT front bumper, color matching the door handles, retinting the windows (they're purple now), and maybe go to a european upper grill.

Thanks! This was the first modification I did to the car ...
Helped a lot as far as braking performance, fade resistance, and brake modulation. I'm super excited to dive into this!

Restored Exterior (headlights and paint) with progress pics
Hey guys, decided to take some pictures of the work I did today. I really wanted to do the black headlight bezels, refresh the upper grill, and restore the headlights. As you can see, the headlights started off ROUGH. I used a 3M headlight restoring kit along with 400 grit sandpaper I used by hand.
There was a ton of crud on these headlights, so 400 grit sandpaper by hand was used to clear the headlight of that nonsense.
After 400 grit by hand
After 500 grit on a drill
After 800 grit on a drill
After 3000 grit on a drill
After one pass with rubbing compound
And here's all of the pieces I did today. I'll get it all reassembled tonight or tomorrow and post pics of how it looks!
