Sure shows how different styles affect the results.
A MkIIII owner from the far east tried out an LSD with the electronic nannies & posted results (track use for the extremes). LSD reduced the intervention needed tremendously for him.
Everything played nice together.

At an auto-x I was able to shave off 1+ second (about 45 second course) by going from full on ESC to disabling ESC.
Another ST driver (same evemt), that came from a Subaru, was able to get a better time by switching from Sport ESC to fill on ESC

|eric_j||Probably because it makes the car stupid-easy to drive. A complete n00b could drive my car with only the lightest training. It's so easy that it confuses people that know how to drive manual cars.|

|Dviboa17||my question is why do they keep using dual mass flywheel doesn't it slow down the car for the 1/4mile?|

Then again, what happens when the brake-based vectoring happens with an LSD?

|Dviboa17||Cool so basically try them out and see what suits me better... Thank you for reply..|

Actually, I wish there was some kind of "neuter" mode that made it act like the old ones that cut power with the slightest bit of wheel spin. That would be handy for some places where I'd really like to avoid ever spinning. An "eco" button to keep it out of boost would also be pretty handy sometimes.

|Dviboa17||So for the 1/4 mile do you guys suggest to turn it off, keep it on normal, or sport mode?|

I turned the ESC to sport mode today for the first time (1,400 miles)
Went out driving. used boost a few times and seems the car accelerates a little harder with the sport mode. Also when just cruising slightly better mpgs.
(though the short 'test' today means it is just seems like it, really i do not know for certain)
The one turbo blast I did hard the front end kind of wobbled back and forth a tiny bit (basically I was slightly overcorrecting) (at 100mph) when I hit the brakes hard ... I was a little suprised at that.
(it may have just been my lack of holding the steering wheel steady? Just mentioning it as it was something that occured.)
Otherwise zero problem with torque steer or wheelspin when I was accelerating fast a few different times.
I will need to use it a few more times to get a real sense of it's differences.
Though I am trying mightily hard to not speed and go crazy driving fast... in general with the ST.
I did plenty of that through most of the years in my Contour SVT...
