beegbopper Just started having the same idle noise. Clutch redone last year (December 2013) with flywheel retooled.

Any answer to this one?

FoMoCus A few people on this forum have talked about the throwout bearing rattling, that could be your noise. Try searching the forum for throwout bearing chatter

It only happens at low rpm when shifting from 1-5th.
Still can't see it. There is one in the middle by where my gear shifter is. Maybe that's it

Ill take a video and post it tomorrow.

The rattling at low rpm doesnt happen unless the tranny has been engaged (in gear) neither does the idle tick..

And no I havent checked just yet. I will do in a bit.

Thanks

Any other suggestions would be great as well :)

tylerdetox Also should state that the rattling sound, sounds like its coming from the left side (driver side)

Suggestions Anyone?

Well, on my SVT when I first got that chatter, it was the heat shield hitting the exhaust.
So, do you have any loose items in your engine that you have checked?

Second, was the thought of a maybe a light weight flywheel or upgraded clutch.
Because it sounds like Clutch chatter ... common sound on upgraded clutches.

But I have also read that could be the clutch springs may not be pushing as good as if new.

These are suggestions, and hopefully you find your issue with not much hit to your wallet. And hopefully others will suggest some other theories to help you out.

Good luck.

I'm hoping its just the heat shield, what am I looking for under the car or in the engine bay?

Thanks for the help
