Jgrove998 Is it sucking so much water that its effecting the way the car is running? As long as its not getting drenched in water I wouldn't worry about it. Save your money for something legit.

jetrinka Its just part of having a CAI. When I had my Focus, it had an FSwerks intake and the filter always got wet in the rain. Never really presented a problem.

phocusphreak sounds like you have a gap somewhere or it really is too close to your tires. just try cuttin the piping so the intake sits a little higher slash more centered? get it away from the tire. i would also suggest you get a prefilter off of fswerks. 30 bucks. since you cant figure out exactly where the water is coming from

I am not familiar with the spyder version CAI but...
Does your car not have a splash shield at the bottom of the bumper or the shield on the front drivers side wheel well? Between those two guards, your CAI should not be in direct contact with water. Most CAI i have seen position the filter element inside the front bumper. It may get the occasional misting but other than that, it shouldnt be getting wet unless you are driving through large puddles/standing water.

This is the shield on the bottom of the bumper:

Or try modifying your CAI so it is shorter and sits higher in the engine bay.
