Mile30 Wires are due in tomorrow, and I need to check home tonite for the receipt I scribbled the spark plug type on. If not here, it's in the toolbox receipt folders.

I had just finished dropping the cradle and replacing the power steering rack due to that twitch (did I post that here" I had videos...), and the passenger side SVT axle out for a rockauto-espezial. $65. Let's see how well it runs the airport trip. Halfway home... man, alive!





whaddabout dat axle, doe?!?!?!?!?








This one we got here... I fashioned a modified heat shield out of a 2000's Eclipse exhaust heat shield that was rattling and I ended up helping out. Worked in both favors!

Mile30 Oh man. Got it running after all the figuring and waiting; couldn't even really enjoy driving 'cause I'm just waiting fo the next thing... halfway home from work and the pedal responds differently and it starts sounding like a flat-four.

Do you guys also hat having to pull off and gut up under the hood, too?!?!?!?!?!?

It had done this thing when I had the carbon fiber valve cover and I was able to figure it out then, pull over and push one of the boots on better and hear/feel the click. I didn't see anything roadside so I got back out there. I whip out the code reader and scroll past the ones I know about for a P0302 about a half mile away. Hahaha... I made it, though.
Back in the driveway with more time, the hood's up for another push test and the boots all feel okay, but the minute light hit the 2nd's boot-end you can see this chalky white crystal on both it and the plug. Found it!

sailor Always a project list, looks like you're catching up with some now.

If the new handle still opens hard, it's the lock itself. Saved mine with WD40 liberally applied, though some say that just gums it up over time I've been OK for years since. Still too stiff might mean new latch to avoid breaking handles regularly.

It's gotten crazy as I've progressed in my career... I have a number of stupid, nagging items in my own cars and a few things between friends and family work that I've just sort of accumulated recently.



This damn Civic has been a project for the little brother that I'm dealing with while I also get the steering twitch-afflicted rack out.

I needed to replace the SVT axle in the thing; the inside boot was splittng from dry rot and making a big mess. All sorts of stupid little grievances and nearly-finished bits. I ran out of money to throw at the thing and made it well past Nationals with it... the borrowed time now over I need to get the few parts in my possession so I can race this damn thing again!!! While I replaced the entire rack I figured that addressing the excessive heat through this old "cooler" linewasn't a half bad idea. I would've done an engine oil cooler but I need fittings and a larger cooler by the looks of these fittings.













I need to realign the suspension and do a few few shakedown drives next before I really trust this thing fully. Oh! The damn door handle snapped internally... AGAIN! Gotta love that pot-metal b.s. they built these assemblies with.
