ianmcc I have used JB Weld when porting 2000 intakes and it holds really well. Just scuff the surface first to give it some bite and use the 5 minute type so it sets quicker. The regular stuff tends to droop and run off while it cures.
Use some fiberglass patch material like this...
embed it in the first coat then make up a second batch and go over it again. For like $20 I bet you can piece things together pretty good!

Magus2727 Usually its a type of ABS. Each mold company will have a slight different blend to meet vendor specifications. Their are name brands also but not sure you would find that out.

Nyberg Blew the outer intake manifold in half, top and bottom along the seam. One small hole otherwise it looks like I can press the bearing in and glue the whole assembly back together, a little fiberglass over top and good to go till I find another one, just dont feel like giving the dealer 6 hundo. Wonder what kind of plastic it is made of will have to do some research.

Magus2727 It looks like you could press it back in and use a little adhesive on the outer bearing to secure it in the intake manifold. Nothing looks sheared or broken. Just looks like it "just" came out due to thermal expansion/contraction of cold weather?

ianmcc I contacted the guy on Kijiji and he doesn't have one.
I see them available here from time to time.

2.0 L That's a pen, most likely blue ink.

Nyberg Its the intake for sure, surfing the forums it looks like it somewhat common in colder climates to have this happen. Flood the car, vapour in the intake, open valve, spark, kaboom. Nice thing is the dealer does carry them, for about 6 hundred. I will check kijiiji like you say.

ianmcc I did do a swap back in the day but nothing in the shed! Check Kijiji there was a guy parting out an SVT that I bought my steering wheel from. May have some leftovers for you.

Nyberg Car was running great, did need new battery, found that out for sure when it was cold. The only thing I can think is the block heater, which jr left on for a day got hot caused some gas vapor in the intake, and when he went to start it kaboom. Blew the entire ouside manifold off the inner portion. Will find out this weekend if I need a new intake. Ian do you have one in your shed? I dont think my luck could be that good.
Cheers Gerry
