sbc17 Hey guys, it's been way to long since I've posted.

Well, I still own the car and I'm finally able to start working on it in the coming weeks. I haven't given up on this thing and I just really really miss the car. I've been very busy lately and haven't had the time to devote to the car. Last night I went with my buddy to take the car from the barn it's been sitting in and bring it back to his house. It's closer to home and work which will make it much easier to find the time to get it running again.

So that's what I have now, it's not much but it's something.

sbc17 Another 2 months have gone by. Geez.

Well last weekend we had a really nice day here in Michigan. I was hoping for an earlier spring so I can get back to working on the car. But today it's been snowing non-stop with no signs of stopping till maybe this time tomorrow. So that shoots that's idea lol.

sbc17 Wow, 2 months since I've posted...that's depressing.

Sadly, still no updates. :(
I was able to work on it a little bit a couple weeks ago but not really any progress was made.

I did manage to get the fusion tinted tho. Turned out pretty good for kinda a rush job. I have some tiny bubbles on almost all the windows. But it's done and for now I'm happy.

sbc17 Right? They are a great looking car IMO. The standard 3.0L is no slouch either. Im positive it would give my SVT a run for its money lol. My buddy has almost an identical car except his is a sport. Those are really cool. I would have loved to find one of those but they are still a decent chunk more than the "equivalent" SEL.

Jburks I love Fusions. I think it would be fun to build up the v6 in one of those. the sport model is one of my favorite cars.

sbc17 It's been a long time since I've posted here. No real updates on the focus. We decided that we were hearing a really aggressive spark knock. So the tank needs to be drained and the head out back on it. I haven't been able to work on it much since school started back up. I've been busy with everything besides the car.

In other news, the transmission in the ZX2 started to slip about a month ago. We drained what fluid we could and replaced it with some fresh stuff. It helped for a while but it's starting to slip again. So Friday I bought a 2011 Fusion SEL in Tuxedo Black. Decided to get a V6 car for something different. So far I've only owned hamster wheel powered cars LOL. I've been looking for about 6 weeks and I finally found the car I wanted. Today I'll be transferring the plates and tomorrow I'll start driving it daily.

I'd like to tint the Windows before it gets to consistently cold here in MI. Today it was 30 when I left for work. Maybe this weekend I can get that done.

I'm excited to have a car I want to drive and work on again. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my SVT but it has been really discouraging trying to get it running. The focus is getting finished but for now I have a solid daily I can rely on. It should relieve a lot of stress for me knowing I have a reliable car now.

sbc17 Alright! If it's done and running right by then I will definitely try and go that way so you can see it.

Gwizzy If you fix it time for Woodward, I usually go and hang out around 9 Mile / Woodward. (My firend has a shop down there and brings his Chevelle to show off.) You better come by so I can see my old baby!

sbc17 Hey guys. Small/medium update.

This week I started working on the car again! We pulled the head Wednesday/Thursday night. The plan is to disassemble it and clean it out. Then reassemble and bolt it back in. Hopefully that gets rid of the weird rattle like sound from the top end.

My goal is to have the car drivable for he Woodward dream cruise. So I have about 3 weeks to finish it. This seems like a reasonable goal and hopefully after we put it back together the car wants to cooperate and run correctly.

Well, I will keep you guys updated in the coming weeks on how things are going!

** I replaced the G8 with a 09' GMC Acadia SLT2 AWD. I just keep slipping further and further from the old SVT ! ;(

Oh no! That totally sucks man! That was a good looking G8 btw.

Haha I think I've come to far to just get rid of it. [emoji3]I haven't worked on it in about a month. I've been way to frustrated and disappointed to work on it. First step is pulling off the head and inspecting the lifters. After that, who knows. I just want to to run right so I an drive it.

Dang man, that's a pretty slippery slope your on. That needs to be fixed! Lol
