He says when you put 35% over factory solar tint it drops it down to 28% which is the limit here in Colorado I guess.
You can have limo tint on windows behind the driver, but driver and passenger can't have less than 28%. Also only allowed to have a 6" -8" tint added to front windshield at the top above the rear view mirror.
I just did 35% on all of my windows, but Aug. 10th my wifes ST goes in for tint. Might do limo tint on hers.

I try to do everything I can to make it easy on the police.

If I get pulled over I roll down the front and rear windows on whatever side the officer is approaching as a courtesy plus I have all my pertinent information in my hand and I've never had my tint mentioned and all my cars have been darker than the legal limit plus I've been pulled over about 25x in my life so in short Colorado cops apparently don't enforce it.
I've been going over a full year with a dipped front plate and not an issue there either.

So i, uh, got bored. And that's ts probably not the best thing.
I tried to do a tint fade on the taillights. I liked pictures of it, so I tried it myself.
It came out super clear and glossy, but I'm just now noticing orange peel, and I think I want to sand it back a little more.
Anyway, was a fun evening.

That's definitely not how tinting laws work lol. It's a safety thing. Safety for drivers because of concern for visibility and safety for law enforcement when they pull people over. If the tiny is too dark they can't see inside. That's how officers get shot. Thus window tint restrictions.
