Totally agree. The Ys are my OEM and only run during the horrible Canadian winter. Those Rebel Devil wheels get lots of looks and questions throughout the summer.

Thanks mate. I love seeing all the different ways people change the look of their Focus, but for me I just want something that looks and feels classy, for what it is. :D

TBH I barely drove the car from December to now so it's a little hard to compare. I'd say the SS lines make the most notable difference in feel, in that once on I went to a nice big empty lot and tried to see if I can make the brakes fade after a few hard stops like it does with stock setup. Nopes. Grip and stop on command, every time. That's my main reason for doing the upgrade.

Other than that I'd reluctant to say I "feel" the difference, sort of like butt dyno, right. Can I really feeeeel there being 10ft (imaginary figure) less stopping distance? Not really. I'm more relying on the science of more surface area for the pads to grip translating to slightly increased capability.

Overall I think the pedal feels a bit more responsive, in that it takes less physical effort to induce braking, but I can't say by how much and I wouldn't say for certain because of how little seat time I'd had leading up to the swap.

All that aside, knowing I can slam the brakes 3 times and not worry about it is a nice feeling.

Its the 2.0 Diesel Titanium and I've only made a few changes;
  • ST Alloys
  • Tinted Rear Windows
  • Painted Red Calipers
  • Stage 1 Remap (Claimed 180bhp but I reckon around 160-170 to be honest, plenty torque though and a noticeable difference)
  • ST spoiler
  • Just fitted a frozen white shark fin aerial (not in photo)

Wondering what to do next or whether to upgrade to a 2013 Focus ST, anyone got any thoughts on this? I originally bought the diesel as I was commuting 70 mile round trip every day but since changed jobs to a 5 mile commute! So may be time to get something a little more fun
Next thing to do is to paint those black side skirts and rear bumper parts white. Simple job, world of difference.

No spacers, made sure I got correct offset +35... +42 is even with fenders, mine stick out 7mm more then that for close to as aggressive as you want to go without looking silly or needing flares

Also finally painted the DownforceUSA lip gloss black. Happy with how closely it matches the Zetec grill I tossed on last summer. This is me car on display at Motorama Toronto just the other week.

Usually they are for light. Light on an offroad or rural area...especially if prone to deer and other animals running across the road.

Crwright I already had a drop in k&n, just wanted to try something different. It was a very good price..... $50.00 I figured what the heck. To my surprise it was very nicely packaged and has some quality parts. I used the intake tube I already had and it sounds really good.
