Many people have told me that I should love the car that I drive and to not think twice about jumping into another loan, but I just can't stomach that. Plus, once I hit 35 mph, I love my Focus. My plast-dipping my wheels today is an effort to make my car feel "new" again, so perhaps I'll get the itch to buy an SUV out of my head. It will be nice to be able to pay off some student loan debt once my car is paid off. This is what I'm telling myself. ;)

I do suspect that I'll need to bring it in again within the next few weeks. It's driving much more smoothly than it did the first time that I had issues, but that rattling/grinding noise that I hear shouldn't be happening -- period. It's not consistent, though, but I can pretty much replicate it at least once or twice during a start-to-stop drive when I accelerate at lower speeds.

Sorry for the long post, but I just wanted to catch you up. :)
sorry to hear you have been having problems with your transmission. I remember we talked maybe two years ago.

Troyftw I took my car in last month and the dealership "ordered my clutch pack" but now I am being told that it is on an "indefinite backorder" and they can't tell me when they will have the replacement part. My car has gotten pretty bad to the point that it almost stalls when I take off from a stop. I am not sure how much longer I can wait...

2013FocusTitanium Just got the word from my dealer they are going to replace my clutch for a second time - but they are back ordered. They have at least 10 similar customers in line ahead of me and Ford is not giving an ETA for when clutches will become available. :(((

I'll have to admit at least my girlfriends 14 doesn't do that. It just chatters like hell at low speeds and doesn't downshift when you punch it sometimes. regardless, this transmission setup is a ******g joke

DaK_Mojave Just made the appt for my POS. Will say the rep was helpful in making the appt. see how helpful they are in getting this POS fixed. Nothing like trying to pass a rig on the highway only to have your transmission rev to red line and you just going nowhere until it decides to lock up.

I forgot to mention, lemon law (at least in NJ) is 24k miles. You have to PURSUE the Lemon Law before 24k miles. Even though my GF complained and had the parts replaced before then, she cannot get lemon lawed. So Ford said nope.
