Lieblos I also rep+ both of you guys. Thanks a lot for the help. I try to come to these types of forums because I know the people know what they talk about. I know I will get the harness to retain Acc. power because I like the center screen displaying Time and temp.

Lieblos I was going to get a 2012 Chevy Sonic but got a good deal on my 2010 Focus. I'm loving the car. I haven't had a relatively new car ever. My newest car I had was a 04 Cavalier last year. This Focus is amazing and definitely glad with the buy.

Kipp yeah they do take a bit more work, but atleast it's not a gm. with those you HAVE to use the data-bus harness as there are essential vehicle functions that run through the headunit. freakin stupid@!

Lieblos Thanks a lot both of you. I swear the newer cars get the more complicated it is to put in an aftermarket radio. I remember my neon I just pulled the center piece off and replaced the radio and put it back on.

Kipp glad to help

Ok, good deal! Thanks Kipp for clearing that up for me(=

crice8 It allows you to retain your dimming function, speed sense, and data control signals as well as many other functions. while it does not cause issues to simply state ford focus on the display, you lose your temp display, direction, and any other data display features of our vehicle.

Kipp i actually have sync in mine and used the harness to retain it. however i have done installs in other 08-11 foci without sync using the basic harness and running an acc wire with no issues. the display just shows "ford focus" whenever the car is on. doesn't cause any issues.

Im going to guess you did that... how is your message center working out for you?
