stealthzx3 In my case, i call it an addiction. Like a drug addict, it's normal for me to spend majority of my paycheck, except on my Focus. I would buy another in a heartbeat. I tried encouraging my dad to get one, but he doesn't seem interested. I almost got my gf to get a MK1.5 sedan, but it didn't work. One day i will be surrounded by Foci! I really love mine, and there isn't much that would make me give it up. I just talked about this earlier, i will own this car until it dies. And when it does, i'll fix it into a beater, and own another Focus.

sbc17 My sunfire is a '96 with a 3 speed auto in it. That is probably what kills me the most about it. Such a pain merging onto the freeway. The little hamsters are on overload trying to get the sewing machine of an engine to move. Lol.

I had to put a new fuel pump in it recently. ($500). That sucked. The drum brakes are terrible. But whatever. It's my first car so it's supposed to be like that right? ; )
It's been a good little car for the most part, I guess I am just really bored of it.

matmatician No way man! I love the j-body platform as a commuter. I've got a Chevy cavalier that is a beast. It doesn't mut much power down, but I'll be damned if that car isn't the most reliable thing ever. I totaled it (ran into a jersey barrier, wrecked the radiator and bumper, and an air bag deployed and the cost to replace those items was more than the car was worth, lol) but I got it repaired, and now, 30k miles later, all I've done to it other than that is oil and brakes. My focus... Engine, clutch, intake manifold, alternator, battery... The list goes on. And it's got about 50k less miles than the cavalier!!!

sbc17 I am gonna sell my sunfire this summer. My only problem is I drive 500isb miles a week and I don't wanna put all that on my focus. : (

crazy_urn I have owned the same focus for nearly 10 years. I bought in new in 03.

I have nearly sold it several different times, but never could get ride of the ole turd.

Don't know if that is obsessed or not....

as for your situation? i would ditch the sunfire for a case of beer.

sgtsmasher sell the sunfire use that money to go back into the current focus. increase the drivability of the current on if you havent already done so. put better suspension in it, maybe forged internals and a turbo, build up the lower end. there are many options in getting rid of a second vehicle and getting some cash from it.

Kipp what's wrong with wanting to own vehicles that are safe, reliable, and fun to drive? I've owned three foci over the years and would gladly buy another one. for all the vehicles i've owned through my life i have been most impressed with the foci that i've had over anything else.

Imagine (almost) all that power in a car that's even smaller and lighter than the Focus!!! Crazy!! Especially after a tune, exhaust, and an intake (Assuming power can be gained from those things...)

Since I only have one though, I'm gonna go with obsession. That car is every bit as much a part of me as my nose.
I am not a huge fan of the fiesta. But a "equivalent" car that I have always wanted is the John Cooper Works MINI Hardtop. 208hp in a tiny car. Oh yea! Lol.

I understand. My car is MY CAR. I think I am always gonna have my SVT.

So I guess I am not the only crazy one out there. Lol
