Mk.III Aerodynamics

So the other night I drove home from work after some light snow. When I got out of the car, I noticed the movement of air over the hood had sculpted the snow into a pretty interesting shape, so I snapped some pics that I'm now posting here.

/\ This second one shows some pretty cool detailing. I was really interested to see the way the snow just above the headlight is formed into a little hump. I know that automakers shape headlights these days to channel air efficiently, especially around the wing mirrors. It's neat to see it actually represented in the way snow is shaped around the light.

Thanks, guys, for indulging my nerding-out over the car.

In other news, I recently passed three months/5000km (on the same day, nicely in-line with my 20k/year estimate at the time of purchase) and I am loving the car. No major problems. I've got a bit of a buzz in the front passenger door speaker, noticed right from the day of delivery. I'm not sure whether it's enough of an annoyance to bring up at my first service. I don't really know if I want them pulling my door apart, or telling me I blew it (I didn't). I could look at it myself, but I'm not going to bother until the weather is better.
