Juicedz Subscribing...I'd like to paint my brakes white but until I have rear disc I'll be hiding the drums in black paint :-( besides, who uses drums on a 2013 vehicle? Just glad I got a 5 speed!

Fraychild looks like it won't be as complicated!

OPsDad I'm going to subscribe to this thread. I have a 14-day old 2013 SE Sedan (auto) and would love to do this conversion, too. No hurry, and I'll be looking to see another success or two before I try this.

If someone could do a complete and verified by experience parts and tool list, and perhaps even a photo step-by-step, that would be really helpful. Also, if I do this, while I have the brake system "open" I'm considering having both sets of calipers sent off for powder-coating to make them "pop".

Fraychild That's awesome - thanks for the details and the part numbers. Where did you get the calipers from? Also, did you need to change the wheel hub assemblies?
01-24-2013 12:32 PM
dan__dan It was $591 w/out shipping.

And the calipers need to be added.

TKE421 can you send the a copy of your parts list that you ordered? I have enough to get it!!!

dan__dan The parking brake is the same. Its a real pain in the a** to change. You'll also need those TorX sockets.

Ha ha - Local guy huh? Cool! I work around DPA train station - I'll definitely look into that; guess I'll have to specify that mine is a Manual and see if there's anything different... something tells me the Parking Brake cable *might* be different, but that's good to know!
