|Tryintofocus||What would be required to put an external tach on a focus that doesn't have one. That's my goal to do soon but it doesn't seem like it would be a plug and play situation without the proper sensor or whatever. Just curious|

Sorry to be a repeat offender, but I am sick and tired of a few guys with a zetec superiority complex trashing the SPI. it has been going on for years, and it is my greatest pet peeve on this forum. I don't want this to be a zetec vs. spi war. But I will always stand up for my little red-headed step child.
There is a way to point out the problems with respect (as glassmaker often does) and their are ways to stir up trouble by posting inflammatory and unnecessary statements.

^^^ idk what the Zetec/ATX is limited at.
FYI - There "is" an aftermarket manufacturer with a 'new' cast for the SPI SOHC head that supposedly addresses the dropped valveseat problem and makes it a non-issue. A thread somewhere here in this section during the last year was started on this topic.

|a_2000_se||Just an FYI for the thread - If your SPI came with an ATX then you're limited to ~5k rpm.|
