amc49 ECM actually recalibrates when you change TPS based on the high and low voltages the new one shows, i.e., it does not expect an EXACT match, just close................I get a high % (actually around 19 or so just like yours!) on my scanner too, but in my case it means nothing since both cars run perfect. When I first saw that I thought about it, but time has rendered the point moot. Check the voltage range with VOM and compare to the average numbers given as acceptable. Voltage more important than % since every device can interpret % differently.

SanduskySerpents It's not a vibration issues it's a drivability issue. Incomplete fuel burn on new plugs. I still don't think 19% tps at idle is normal . My thought is ECM is reading an partially open throttle and compensating other systems

zpellicone Ive got an 01 zetec and using the dealer test mode I read my idle fluctuates between 640-700 depending on engine temp. Ive cleaned my TB on several occasions, I figure this RPM is normal with the miles on the engine. Id recommend replacing the passenger motor mount and specifically the lower torque mount. The aforementioned mount drastically improved idle while in drive. The passenger mount smooths vibrations in acceleration as well as in park and reverse (Atleast with an ATX)

TPS at idle

02 Zetec engine, with low rough idle. Live data shows Abosolute tps at 19.1 % this seems high for idle . Anyone know what the spec is supposed to be? Rpm is between 650-720 fluctuation.
