practically! its a small 1800sq/ft single story no basement berm home (both sides and back of the house are all half underground) basically the windows on 3 sides of the house are at ground level thats how deep into the hill the house is set. on the backside of the house I can basically climb onto the roof without a ladder:

This is about the best shot of the front side I have you can see on the right the hill is maybe 3' ish tall

We have AC but rarely need it, when it gets into the mid 60s or even low 70s at night our house will stay that temp nearly all day.

Last month with just windows open and no AC the highest temp I saw inside was 72 degrees which was a hair warm but when it doesn't hit that till 3-4 in the afternoon and you know it'll be cooling down in an hour or 2 theres no point kicking on the AC.

I have had it on for the first time this year the last 2 days though.

we both have unlimited interwebs access at work and I have Sprint unlimited LTE data at home, I stream netflix from the iphone through HDMI to the tv.

Courtney has wifi tethering on her phone so we can get internet on the laptop at home if/when we need it but 98% of the time we can get whatever we need to done at work.

Wifey and I already occasionally look at other houses, if our current house was on a paved road I'd probably never move but gravel road is bleh, at least the county grates the road every other week so its about the smoothest gravel road anywhere ever.

The places we look at have $3k property taxes and we're just like

I don't think anywhere we move will ever be cheaper than this. electric is $3x a month, well water, no internet, no tv, propane tank might have to get filled in another 2 years the way we use it (basically never) and the woodstove for heat in the winter lol
