I hope this helps you understand our disbelief.

|SVT Focus Driver||Dude my 2002 SVT Focus has 291,000+ miles and only have had to change the oil( only use the motorcraft 5w20 and a filter with a check valve in it) until I neglected it and blew the head gasket at 280,000. The cylinders still had the cross hatch marks and no ridge from the rings. I studded the block and it running stronger then ever... I just wish someone could tell me it's true Horse Power from the factory.. Considering I use to work at a ford dealership and know the 170 HP they say isn't correct... But on another note it love the new ST's but couldn't come close to get one....|

|dave mc g||well I like the new Shelby but agree with you about the central exhaust on the back. I enjoy the carbon fiber look of the yellow one I think it makes it look clean seats could use to be the Recaros always a nice upgrade and I imagine for the price point this will be at an expected upgrade.all in all very much like the st. Models not much change in exterior look in my opinion I expected a little more flair|

Even if the interior volume is the same as the 5 door it's less accessible with fewer doors. The longer doors also make it more difficult in a parking lot situation.
The 5 door hatchback is much more practical, especially when it's combined with a longer body shell compared to the 3 door.
To each his or her own, but the sales figures in Europe didn't justify the continued existence of a slow selling 3 door model. It was not face lifted with the mid cycle action on the C1 platform that underpinned the C307 Focus /ST/RS as well as the current C346 Focus and Focus ST.
I'm sure you'd appreciate this:
Enjoy your three door car while Ford enjoys making money by finally selling a performance 5 door hatch that's a world beater.

|Mr Orange SVT||
I've hauled some pretty good sized loads in my 3-door SVT.
I'm hoping you're wrong but if you're not then Ford can definitely rule me out as a future customer because I just don't want a 4-door! I've driven the new ST and I was impressed but not when I got out and saw those 4 doors. I'll either be keeping my SVT for a very long time or switching brands. Right now if I was in the market I would be looking at a John Cooper Mini or the new Golf GTI or RS.

I'd much rather see the wagon here than the space inefficient 3-door coupe anyway.
Only the b segment (Fiesta, etc) sell in large volumes in Europe as a 3-door hatch, the C segment needs to be a more practical family car and the 3-door just doesn't cut it.

|Mr Orange SVT||I'll pass and keep my 03. There are too many doors! Why doesn't Ford sell the Focus as a 2 door?|

|Gwizzy||Seems all cosmetic... The "optional tune" should be included. (If only my family could fit...)|
