azdamay For us regular folk, that's a ridiculous price. But somehow it doesn't stop the Mini from selling. I guess well-off folks can't put a price on their precious, sweet, innocent daughter's happiness and safety.

That's cuz fat 'mericans complained that the cars were too cramped and tight. Duh, it's a Mini. That was kind of the point.

As soon as they came out with the wider and longer model I knew it was downhill from there... and then they gave us the Clubman (the least ugly of the group), the Countryman (a Mini "crossover" SUV? really?), and that ridiculous Coupe thing with the ugliest roof ever devised. If that roof at least folded down, you could excuse the awkward design... but it doesn't. And now the Paceman, which I don't see the special appeal of. It looks like a Mini trying to mimic a Range Rover Evoque and failing.

What happened, Mini?? Somehow the original soldiered on for decades with minimal change on the other side of the pond.

sbc17 I agree, they have strayed off from there roots. I am not a huge fan I the paceman....but gimme a JCW in the classic hard top and that's a different story.
