bigdesignmachine Yeah it is a bummer that MFT cannot play from other sources. Seems a little short sighted. I get why they dont allow video playback during driving.

I did see some module you can buy that by-passes the feature but it costs around $450. Seems a little over priced but I guess its one of those things....if you want it bad enough, youre going to pay out the ass for it.

If I could use the screen for non video (computer display) while driving it would be useful. I'm not going to buy a portable DVD player to watch things while parked.

Hi, bigdesignmachine -

Now534 and Burns098356GX are correct. You have to use the composite for video and the vehicle must also be in park to utilize this feature.

Burns098356GX Must be composite only. I've tried USB and a DVD. No luck.

Reading the manual is a tad confusing in the way its worded but, should you be able to play video via USB with MFT or does it only play video when using the composite inputs ?
