i also found it kinda odd that 2013 is a "downgrade" from 2012 in those aspects.. especially when the garage door remote is still listed as a standard option on their site (but not actually available in the vehicles)!

I agree totally! Just like projector headlamps, we get crummy reflector housings. Btravelen My 2005 Excursion came without the underhood blanket and light. Now my Focus doesn't have the engine cover that it should include..

Very cheap of Ford to not include things that every other maker does include.

Cam2012SE When I used to do the work myself, I agreed that the cover would be in the way.

Now that I have the dealer maintenace package, and don't have to do the work anymore, I think it looks great!

r1ch999999 I find this funny because cleaning my garage I found engine covers for my last two cars on one of the shelves. I find they get in the way

slbenz For me I like the look having the cover. Just makes the engine bay look cleaner to me. And since the cover has insulation, it slightly reduces engine noise entering the cabin.
