Adding sub to factory fitted head unit

So im adding a amp and sub to my 08 focus titanium, i have the sony DAB factory fitted stereo, i run my power lead from the battery to the amp, ground it out to metal screw in the boot, i also using a LOC to make this work, my problem is i run a remote wire from the amp to where?

Baldurs390 back from the dead but has anyone had trouble installing a kenwood deck in to there 2nd gen? the ken wood deck only has 1 plug and was wondering if i need to grab wires from all 3 to make it work...

I just grabbed one at Canadian Tire for about $25. I believe you can get one at any Future Shop, Best Buy, or just about anywhere that carries a variety of car audio.

Smokymance I installed some aftermarket eclipse speakers my friend gave me....they have pretty good highs, but totaly lost te bass that even the stock speakers provided...today i finaly installed a kenwood 800w amp with an MTX 12in sub that helped that out....LOC or not, sounds pretty good!

Duhamel Yeah, I had to fiddle with my amp controls to sort out what sound I liked the best. I used a LOC and the OEM headunit.

I would prefer to install a head unit, and replace all factory speakers (with amp), and mount two more speakers in the trunk/back seat compartment (with amp)... sooner, or later.
