|Neptune15||No you summed it up pretty well. When I upgraded to 17s it wasn't as big of a hit to the comfort of the car as I'd imagined. I find tire pressure is critical, too. And yes, on 17s you must avoid potholes as much as possible.|

|mco30mco||in a 15 you can have any ride you want as long as you pick the right tire. you can get a low rolling resistance tire for good gas mileage. you can get a v rated michelin with a higher load rating for a firm performance ride. or anything in between. a 16 you have almost the same variety but you are down to a 55 series tire so you will pay alittle more. 17 and 18 will cost significantly more and you are down to nearly all performance tires that will not last as long, will get worse gas mileage, put more strain on the suspension components due to higher weight slash rolling resistance, and be more prone to bulges and blowouts if you live in a pot hole laden world in the north country. on a positive note you will be able to take a higher g force into a corner and most people like the look of a bigger wheel. i hope that didnt come across as argumentative, i was just trying to tell the advantages and disadvantages to the ride, the look, and the long term hit to the pocket book.|

i know im in the minority but i like a higher sidwall on a tire so i say go for it. i just got 15 inch wheels in the mail for my 2013 focus i ordered. wheels are here now i just have to wait for the car to get here.
you will get a smother ride and a better price on tires too.
