I finally got the snorkel off using a small flat head screw driver to remove the 3 snorkel plugs and simply knowing their location (thanks stuff1138).

Went for a drive afterwards and WOW, what a difference. It now revs freely and feels so much smoother during acceleration. No more hesitation when you step on the gas. Wish I had done this when I first bought the car.

I'm a believer.

Only dropped one insert into infinity below and found out the negative cable post is PITA to reinstall so I basically had to re-tap it with the original bolt. Other than that....two thumbs up for sure!
Exactly what did you do with this "removed air-box resonator"? I'm curious to know if this does anything other than add noise if you don't have the Newmission Mod done with it. Do you have pics of what you removed? Did you make the hole bigger?

I'm considering doing a modified one that uses the existing hole size No drilling the bottom of the air box out bigger) to run a hose to the front.
I like your idea. That Newmission mod looked a bit too over my head. But, just to clarify, the only reason you would do this is to add the hose, correct? Simply removing whatever is blocking the hole would do nothing other than add noise, right?

Thanks for the quick reply.

Wait... Are you guys saying there's a tube underneath the airbox that can be removed?
