there is only an amp if you have the factory sub. the speakers are not amped. You'll need the three parts below for the install (dash kit, harness, antenna adapter).
If you do have the factory sub then you will also need to get a male rca end to hook it up. there is a third plug that has the signal and turn-on wires in it that you connect to. there isn't an adapter made for it so it has to be spliced in to the factory harness.

|elsolo||Pete, I have a factory 6 disk out of a '04 that worked fine when I removed it this year to go aftermarket. $40 and it's your's, I am in Long Beach.|

|FocusPete316||Thanks for the info. It's for my wife's car and she used to 'occasionally' listen to cd's. $400 for a stock replacement did seem a bit steep too. What price for a used one?|

as above, they just go out over time. and shipping is not your friend with some electronics.
Don't know your exact situation, but you can always go aftermarket. can be done fairly inexpensive depending on what you want out of it. and this can give you more capabilities like aux in, ipod, usb, BT. . .
