Mile30 I believe my SVT tri-ax is sitting in a decoratively-wrapped box under the conifer upstairs... CAN NOT WAIT.

I had the "STS" for my original MTX75 and it changes the feel of each shift drastically, for the better I might add! I've had the MT285 for 6 years and I've missed that shift-feel ever since; Iblew up the 5 speed and sunk ALL my money into the swap, so I barely had the loot to finish getting all the parts, let alone fun-bits.

If you have the means, and were on-the-fence about it: just get it. If you regret the purchase you'll find it will sell very quickly in the BST section! You really can't lose...

Me too. Didn't have reverse til I adjusted them, but now every gear is really easy to get into.

thehubster I also have the CFM and I installed mine myself. I don't usually and the only thing that caught me up was that I had to adjust my cables after I was done to get it to go into all the gears. I have daily'd it for almost four years now and I love it.

ChrisRobin I installed a Steeda shifter, I like it a lot. I found though with how short it made it, I found I was reaching too far forward to get it into 5th. So I cut it in half, welded little brackets to make the upper half about 1" offset towards the driver's seat. The point is, get one.

swansong Yup. I absolutely love my CFM adjustable shifter. It adjusts from about stock height, down to around 3" below that. The throws are shorter no matter what height you have it, the shifters are more solid and connected, and you can control the notchiness and effort required to shift by adjusting the height. I have mine set at around half, which is a nice setting for daily driving.
