pio thats a volvo engine...that car share the platform with the mazda3 and the volvo s40
and we will not see that platform on the focus until (probably) 07

no, unfortunatly, they did not take idea, they took whole engine directly from volvo, and it is turbocharged, not supercharged..

i'm just scared we'll have to go to service our cars to volvos service station, not ford..

m0nny I love the odd number of cyclinders companies are putting into their engines now.

Volkswagen also has a 5 cyclinder motor in one of its upcomming jetta models. I believe its a jetta.

Ivan indeed, thats the only thing i dont like (it is the engine used in volvo s40 and v50 t5), st fords never had turbo engine and this one was suposed to have 2.0 duratec with 200bhp, but something obviously went wrong
