FocusZTSRS And yes as far as safety to you it is very safe . Your car won't last log or be competitive if its stock. But definitely fun

FocusZTSRS I rally crossed my stock focus an now need to replace my entire suspension set up... Was going to anyways cause it was factory and now I'm gunna upgrade too SVT but is recommend at least a skid plate, and rally ready suspension. Try hot bits. But you'll need to have a custom built skid plate as nobody sells them aftermarket. Also I'd find cheap snow tires rather than rally tires. Won't last as long but are much cheaper. As for skid plate I'd run 1/8th inch and have 3 attachment points on each side with one inch tubing to make it stronger.

Hope this was helpful

No you don't.
Also a good option.
Witches are dangerous.
It's all relative.

thenorm I would rally-x my car with OEM suspension all day with no worries if I had the chance.
Lowered, it would be harsh.

it all depends on the location of the rally-x. I've been to some where it tends to get rutted and the cars start digging out rocks that could do some damage. but some of the lots are quite firm, and they would not damage anything.

look up "SCCA rally-x" on youtube. you'll get an idea of the couses.

Also, it is 100% legal and 99.99% safe.

wrc_fan 'The question was how safe is it?' It is very safe, probably much safer than your average freeway commute.

I like the idea of taking your parents to watch an event, that may or may not work in your favor :D

I think you are thinking of like stage rally racing. Rallyx is a much smaller course and is much like autox but in a dirt lot. While I think that the rallyx would be more harsh on your car than autox, its relatively low speed racing. you are the only one one the track at at time so "crashing" is probably pretty unlikely.

My recommendation is take your mom to an event to just watch and let her see what its all about.

RonMaiden I ice raced and did rally X once in my Eclipse and while on ice it's pretty rough but on dirt it was tenfold on the abuse your car takes. I enjoyed it but would never put a stteet car through that again unless I have a healthy bank account to fix things.
