trahker Mine does this as well. Dome light usually doesn't come on at night when I unlock with the fob. But if I hit 'unlock, lock, unlock', the light comes on every time. I'll have to ask my dealer about the BCM reprogramming.

Good day asting,

Let me know when you're heading into the dealer and I'll look into available options.

Dome light

If you're having dome light problems and you're told it is a feature of the car you are being told wrong. Some dealers still do not know that the Body Control Module needs to be reprogramed to correct this error.

scorpio_sjnb I'm having similar problems with my 2013 Ford Focus Model P3E with the dome light not coming on if the car has been idle for an hour or so.
What doesn't work: one click on the remote will not turn on the dome light if the car has been idle over an hour. If the car has been used off and on within an hour, the one click will work.
What always works: 2 clicks on the remote (opens all doors) the dome light will always go on.
Opening the trunk and closing it before you use the one click to open the door works
Leaving the doors unlocked...when opening the driver's door, the light always comes on.

My salesman is telling me that this is a feature of this car. Anyone else having a similar problem? Thanks

Mic issue

Don't have a mic issue. Of course the inside of the car must be quiet, with windows closed and ac blower to lower setting. Perhaps when you take your car in you can take a drive with a tech and let him see for himself. Cheers.

Heck, give them a free oil change or something. Good cars can be built. I drove my '95 Mazda 626 270,000 miles. Everything still worked on the car. But, it was starting to nickel and dime me so I bought this Focus. Give me a basic car with AC, a good stereo, power windows, 32 mpg and I'll be happy. A builder needs to take a look at that 1995 626 and discover how a car should be built. Then they need to build it and give the masses a good vehicle at a fair price with a great warranty. For those who need all the fluff, well, there will always be fluff.
Guess I'll take everyone's advice and take my car in for service later this week to get the BCM reprogramed. The dome light problem is annoying. The bluetooth mic issue is huge still. People can barely hear you when you travel >60 km/h...

Dylan1970 I had this problem too and my dealership didn't believe me because it always worked for them. It wasn't until they did a reprogram that it started working. These new Focus's are a monumental piece of you know what, problem is Ford doesn't realize it yet.

Dome light.

OK. It's been about 10 days since I got my car back. Dome light has gone on every time. So, I guess it's fixed. I'll not post again unless there is a problem. Ford is trying hard to build a good product for the consumer and to make things right when things go wrong. That's how I look at it anyway. I hope they continue to build quality products and not cut corners.
