gavogue I might be missing something on the safety recall for latches...

I checked the marking in the moulding and according to the service instruction it would not need to be replaced.

I'll check with my retailer when I get recall 16V-698 done.

sykozis That door latch recall needs to be done ASAP.... The door latches fail resulting in doors coming open. On average, it takes about 1.5 to 2 hours to complete, depending on the technician's experience replacing the latches. If you want to know more, search google for the Fiesta door latch failures....same thing with the Focus.

sailor Trunk switch programming no - door latch replacement recall - maybe!

gavogue I've found that a quick double click of the unlock button on the key fob generally brings the dome light on when I open the door. Every now and again it will not.

I'd learned to live with it, but since I have been taking my daughter to daycare in the winter it has become a problem because I can't see her seat belt too well without the dome light...

My car is out of warranty now so I'm hoping the trunk switch recall update will also fix the dome light issue!

trahker Mine does this as well. Dome light usually doesn't come on at night when I unlock with the fob. But if I hit 'unlock, lock, unlock', the light comes on every time. I'll have to ask my dealer about the BCM reprogramming.

Good day asting,

Let me know when you're heading into the dealer and I'll look into available options.

Dome light

If you're having dome light problems and you're told it is a feature of the car you are being told wrong. Some dealers still do not know that the Body Control Module needs to be reprogramed to correct this error.

scorpio_sjnb I'm having similar problems with my 2013 Ford Focus Model P3E with the dome light not coming on if the car has been idle for an hour or so.
What doesn't work: one click on the remote will not turn on the dome light if the car has been idle over an hour. If the car has been used off and on within an hour, the one click will work.
What always works: 2 clicks on the remote (opens all doors) the dome light will always go on.
Opening the trunk and closing it before you use the one click to open the door works
Leaving the doors unlocked...when opening the driver's door, the light always comes on.

My salesman is telling me that this is a feature of this car. Anyone else having a similar problem? Thanks
